Injury Updates for the Sharks

In the 2-1 win over Calgary Monday night, the San Jose Sharks had 9 regular or would-be starters out with injuries.  The list is: Patrick Marleau, Marcel Goc, Claude Lemieux, Mike Grier, Tomas Plihal, Torrey Mitchell, Ryane Clowe, Kent Huskins, and Rob Blake.  Here are the updates for their injury statuses with 6 games remaining and under two weeks left in the regular season:

Marleau supposedly has soft tissue damage in his leg after taking a hit in the Coyotes game, but further examination has revealed a torn MCL and he will be out until at least the Conference finals.

Mike Grier, Ryane Clowe, Tomas Plihal, and Kent Huskins have been sent to the AHL to play a few games before their expected return against Los Angeles next week.

Torrey Mitchell is out for the season with a lingering shoulder injury.

Rob Blake and Claude Lemieux are suffering from Alzheimer's and do not remember their professions.

For all you now crying Sharks fans, here is something to help relieve the pain of losing 9 of our key players for what looks to be the rest of the regular season if not the rest of 2009:

If you don't know where that's from, watch more youtube/anime.  In fact, search "anime" on youtube and somewhere in there will be the original 2-D dance that sparked this ridiculousness.
Or just watch all the other dannychoo storm trooper videos.  Whatever works.

If you haven't figured it out yet, Happy April Fool's Day.
